GIS and Data Integration
IMD’s software products readily
work with data from a variety of Microsoft formats
including Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel and
Microsoft SQL Server. IMD supports data from other
sources via export files and
attached views. IMD has experience working with
relational databases including MS SQL, Oracle and
MS Access and GIS applications including ESRI,
Smallworld, Integraph and AutoDesk. IMD has successfully
integrated it’s tools and engineering into
numerous database systems and GIS platforms.
The next generation of IMD software
will support our data integration strategy. In
short, IMD’s data integration strategy is
to provide seamless integration both from and to
a variety of data formats including:
- Oracle 10.x data stores with
ADPM, PODS or proprietary schemas
- Real time XML data integration
as well as data from traditional flat-file formats
- Spatial data in ESRI formats
IMD's data integration strategy will
obviate the need to manually transform between
spatial and linear formats. Customers will have
seamless access to enterprise data within IMP and,
conversely, IMP data will be readily accessible
to enterprise applications. In addition, IMD's
data integration strategy calls for intelligent
and user configurable data scrubbing routines to
drastically reduce time spent manually manipulating
data.
